Saraswati Puja - the 'Goddess of
Learning' was worshiped at the school premises on 28th
January. Children dressed in colourful attire offered 'pushpanjali'
and enjoyed prasad & khichuri bhog and 'dadhikarma' on
the following day. |

20 students from the school participated
at a NGO Sports ‘Khel Khel Mein’ organised by Concern
India Foundation on 21st January, 2012 and won prizes for
the school. |

The Annual Sports was held on the ground
of Indian Life Saving Society (Anderson Club) on 17th
December. The opening song was followed by March Past and
Bratachari. Children from nursery to class IV participated
in 14 different events. The Relay Race for classes I to IV
was well contested. There was Observation Race for staff and
Musical Chair for members of the club. Prizes were given
away by the Past Presidents of the club. All present enjoyed
the delicious lunch served at the end of the sports meet. |

6 students participated in a dance
competition organised by Interact Club of Pratt Memorial
School on 19th November. The school bagged the Runners-up
Trophy at ZEPHYR. |

Children’s Day on 14th November was
celebrated in a befitting manner with music, recitation,
go-as-you-like competition, tail the cat game and quiz.
There were gifts & food packets for every student and prizes
for the winners. |

|
12th November – National Education Day,
birthday of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education
Minister of the country was observed with a ‘sit & draw’
competition for students of KGII to class IV. |

|
Nokia’s ToxisLink Awareness Campaign on
9th November was focused on the 3R’s – Reduce, Reuse and
Recyle. To keep the mother earth clean & green, the
presentation and the quiz was an eye opener for the
children. Nokia will plant a tree for every phone recycled. |

'Child Development Workshop' for students
of Class III & IV was conducted on 31st October. |
|
|
|
The children received new clothes for
puja on 30th September. On 3rd October, 40 children went for
‘Puja Parikrama’ with The Times of India. |

|
|
On 7th September, Red FM as a part of
their campaign to lend support to street and underprivileged
children took 21 students of classes III and IV escorted by
two teachers and two club members to the Nicco Park. In the
evening 4 children participated in a Live Talk Show from the
studio of Red FM. It was a lifetime experience for these
children. Our school children were also part of their grand
programme on 17th September at the Metropolis Mall. Kudos to
93.5 Red FM Bajaate Raho. |

The children celebrated Teachers’ Day
on 5th September. |
|
|
|
Independence Day was celebrated in the
school premises and 20 children put up a dance sequence at a
programme organised by the National Socio Cultural Forum. |

Health check-up of our students were
held on 28th & 29th July, 2011. |
|
|
|
Our school is now linked with The Queen’s
Dyke C. P. School of Oxfordshire, UK (a project of British
Council). On 4th August Jane Heath visited our school and
interacted with the children. Both the schools completed a
project on ‘Source of Water’. Under the Global School
Partnership programme, the schools will be having a
reciprocal visit by two teachers within June 2012. |

Jumble sale of old clothes to raise
funds for school was a grand success. |
